Building Educator Capacity to Teach Arabic
As part of QFI’s continued support of the teaching and learning of the Arabic language through educator capacity building, QFI welcomes all attendees to the 2025 US Winter Workshop. The workshop provides a space for Arabic education communities of practice to share their expertise through presentations and facilitated training sessions. It brings together both new and experienced educators to engage in Arabic-specific professional development tailored to the US context.
About the 2025 Winter Workshop
In the first iteration in 2024, the workshop centered around proficiency assessments.
In 2025, the scope expands to explore motivation and student engagement more broadly through the theme of Motivation and Engagement for the Arabic Language Classroom. Through sessions around introducing culture in the classroom, designing interactive lessons, and providing effective feedback, the workshop supports teachers in their work to meet the needs of all Arabic language learners.
This year’s workshop centrally aims to extend evidence-based insights from the Oxford Forums’ work on motivation.
