QFI's Programs

Sustainable Support for the Arabic Language Ecosystem

QFI works across the Arabic Language Ecosystem (ALE) in the following ways:

  • Connecting leaders in world languages with in-school Arabic programs that demonstrate best practices
  • Facilitating connections with language specialists to develop research-informed resources and tools that promote program growth
  • We can provide start-up or matching funding on a sliding scale each year to schools that are financially committed to adding Arabic to their curricula

School Break Arabic Program Grants provide support for academic and non-profit institutions offering primary and secondary access to Arabic language education during school breaks.

Arabic Afterschool Program Grants are awarded to eligible out-of-school Arabic language programs during the academic year to increase access to Arabic education in areas where Arabic is not offered as part of the school curriculum.

The Grants to Schools Program supports the establishment and growth of in-school, credit bearing Arabic language programs at the primary and secondary level.

Schools formerly supported by QFI’s Grants to Schools Program can apply for the Established Arabic Support Program to sustain and expand their program.
