Oxford/QFI Research Forum

The Oxford/QFI Research Forum was born out of an urgent need identified by a comprehensive Scoping Review of research available on teaching and learning Arabic conducted by the University of Oxford and supported by QFI.

Over two days with 68 educators, the Forum explored the important connections between research and practice in Arabic education and outlined research priorities to improve Arabic teaching and learning in schools.

Results from the Forum:

  • Identified the top 10 research priorities on Arabic in primary and secondary schools
  • Call for Action Research: Winning proposal submitted by Dr. Rasha Soliman, Dr. Melissa Towler, and Mrs. Fauzia Saeed.

Takeaways from the Forum:

  • Teachers and researchers need to work together
