A product of findings from research conducted by Dr. Rasha Soliman and Dr. Melissa Towler at University of Leeds in the UK, this publication provides guidelines for a multiglossic approach to Arabic teaching.

Collaboratively developed with input from teachers

The guidelines include:

  • Pedagogical approaches
  • Table of varieties used in different contexts (e.g. newscast, shops, etc.)
  • “What to do if…” scenario guidance
