Contributing to thought leadership.
In 2023, QFI contributed to 50 publications, including peer-reviewed journals. QFI staff and supported experts also presented at over 90 conferences and seminars including Language World 2023, the American University of Cairo, EXPOLINGUA, ACTFL, the National Council for Geographic Education, the National Council of Less Commonly Taught Languages (NCLCTL), the Council on Social Work Education, the Middle East Studies Association, and the International Conference on Language and Linguistics. QFI’s participation increased the presence of panelists and presenters speaking about the teaching and learning of Arabic in schools.

Our increased participation in a space traditionally focused on Arabic taught at the higher education level has encouraged more collaboration and engagement with universities.
This positively impacts research on Arabic teaching and learning at the primary and secondary levels, the integration of research-informed practices in the classroom, and the bridging of secondary- to university-level learning.
